The challenge
A mid-size regional bank was running critical workloads on ageing on-prem infrastructure. Hardware refresh cycles were expensive, the team was stretched across routine maintenance, and the existing setup couldn't scale to meet growing digital banking demand.
Our approach
We began with a 4-week discovery to catalogue all workloads, dependencies, and data classification requirements. From there we designed a phased migration: non-sensitive workloads first, core banking last, with a parallel-run period to validate before cutover.
The solution
All workloads now run on Google Cloud. Core banking uses dedicated Cloud SQL with PITR. The team moved from 3-week release cycles to continuous deployment. Compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, GDPR) are enforced at the infrastructure layer via policy-as-code.
